Shutterfly Cards

Oh, internet. I have a confession to make.

I love my family. And I love taking pictures. But sadly, we have never, ever sent out Christmas photo cards. Every year I get these awesome cards in the mail from other people. For instance, Nick has this aunt. Her name is Michelle, and she is Paula Deen, Martha Stewart, and Mother Theresa all rolled into one. She cooks, she paints, she creates, she hosts, and she and her husband Paul have raised three of the most loving, beautiful, well-adjusted young ladies I've ever met. She's the type of person you almost want to hate because she's so awesome, but she's so incredibly nice that it's not even an option. And of course, she always sends out a lovely Christmas card featuring her beautiful family.

Every year I stick these up on my refrigerator and think to myself I'm going to do that this year. I still have time...

And every year time slips away from me and the Christmas card mocks me from the front of the Frigidaire until January (okay, until March - don't judge me!). But this year, this year I was determined to get those cards ordered and sent out. And, in fact, I was just about to order some from my new photo lab (who, by the way, is fabulous). Then I heard about a great offer from Shutterfly. This year they are offering 50 free photo cards in exchange for a blog post about their services. And while I really love my photo lab, I also really love free!

Now I do want to say that I have used Shutterfly several times in the past, and I've always been pleased with my orders. I've not tried their photo cards, but their 4x6 prints are very nice, great color and resolution. And I've taken a look around at their holiday offerings, and to be honest, I'm a little bit in love with some of their templates. Check out a few of their products:

Updated Package Pricing and New Metallic Prints!

Hello, everyone! I've recently switched to a new print lab, and I'm thrilled with the quality of their work! I do have paper samples available if you'd like to see them at your session. The change will reflect a very small increase in my pricing for standard prints (about $4 per package) to offset the increase in shipping and order costs, but I think you'll be very happy with your product.

Something I'm really excited about is the ability to now offer you metallic prints! I just keep going back to this option, and I'm excited to already have some orders for it!
Here is a product description from the photo lab, but you really have to see it to appreciate it:

"This particular paper type has added a completely unique dimension for photographic output. With its glossy finish and metallic appearance it creates images that are described as “Chrome on Paper”, while at the same time adding depth, vibrant color and flattering flesh tones. Endura Metallic paper creates unique black and white images and through a special combination of laminating layers, prints appear to be three-dimensional with an ultra-bright background."

I am also now offering linen textured prints, and any package or a la carte print will be available in any finish. I do want to mention that if you have already had your photo session, then my previous pricing for standard paper prints will still apply for orders off of that session only. That price list can be found
here.

The new pricing is as follows:

Languedoc Family Sneak Peak

Kaylee and Hunter first appeared on my blog back in April when Kaylee was just 2 days old. Now she's a precious 6 1/2 month old, and Hunter is a terrific big brother!

Hatch Family

Amy has been one of my very best friends for the last hundred years or so, so I was very excited to get to do her family photos. This was the first time I've gotten to shoot at Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum, and I can't wait to go back again and again! There was a wedding in part of the gardens, so we didn't have access to all of it, but there were still some beautiful features!

AJ and Sandi

AJ and Sandi share such a special bond, and it's been a pleasure to watch them become husband and wife. Best wishes to a wonderful couple!

Tony and Maria

It was a beautiful day at Carl Cowan Park in Farragut. Tony and Maria were celebrating their first wedding anniversary the next day, and you could really tell how much these two love each other! Happy anniversary, guys!
